Supporting the vulnerable: who helps the helpers?
Social care is struggling to cope. Safeguarding cases are increasing. What does it mean to be a safeguarding leader, navigating the legal and procedural challenges of working alongside children’s social care and family justice, and who can you turn to for support?
This week’s guest, Kate Flounders, is in love with her mission. The founder of The Safeguarding Association, and a specialist in supporting 15-25 year olds, Kate draws on her career as a lawyer, chair and trustee, to help leaders feel confident in navigating the complexity of the safeguarding system.
Listen in to find out how falling in love with helping some of the most vulnerable in society changed the trajectory of her legal career; helping Kate to step into her power and become the very best ‘free range human’ she can be.
This episode is for women who are ready for freedom. If it’s time to break out of the box you are trying to squeeze yourself into – here’s the permission you’ve been waiting for!
